How to Cut Fret Slots - Electric Guitar Scratch Build -

Hi guys, In this video I cut the fret slots on the fingerboard, drill the holes for the marker dots and glue then in place. I also get a visit from a special guest curious to see what I was doing..... I start by re-loading the levelling beams with fresh sandpaper to work on the fingerboard to get it flat. The, using a fret-ruler, the positions are marked then filled in using an Incra protractor - this tool helps make them as accurate as possible. Once they are all marked & checked, I use a scalpel to score the line before cutting the slot with a fret saw. Then the dots, which are made form off-cuts of the rosewood top using a 1/4" plug cutter, are drilled out on the pillar drill before being glued in. Apologies for the delay uploading, had an issue with iMovie export getting stuck which put me back somewhat. I've tried to show more of the process in this video, with some voiceover explaining what I'm doing. I'm experimenting with how to format my videos and feedback in the comments is welcome.
