Once ready, Bernie tests fuel trim using the ATS eSCAN as well as volumetric efficiency, both during a simple test drive. A linear lean condition is identified indicating more testing was needed. A 5 gas analyzer is used to determine the fuel control problem is not in the feedback control, but in the fuel delivery system. A fuel pressure, volume and specificity gravity test on the fuel in the vehicle all checks out. Leading us to the fuel injectors, using a 4-channel scope the injectors are tested electrically for function and a flow rate issue is identified.
