Check out James' favourite 2 I/O audio interfaces here: https://bit.ly/3jbdcjJ Choosing an audio interface can be a daunting task. Focusrite, Audient, SSL and PreSonus are just a small selection of companies offering amazing interfaces packed with functionality that can add to the confusion of what to buy. And if you’re a musician, producer, performer, podcaster, voiceover artist or any kind of audio professional, you’ll be acutely aware how important the audio interface is to your set up. So, we asked James Ivey to pick out 4 of his favourite 2 in and 2 out interfaces and run through their functionality in an effort to give you an overview or guide to what is on offer our there in 2021. First is the Focusrite 2i2 which has become very popular and for good reason. Its Scarlett mic preamps, two high-headroom instrument inputs, plugins and the ability to mix up to 4-bit/192kHz assures great quality and versatility. Next is the SSL 2, and if you know anything about recording you will no doubt know and appreciate SSL’s long and unquestionable knowledge and heritage. In fact, a very high percentage of hit songs over the last 40 years or so have either been recorded or mixed (or both) using an SSL mixing console. So, imagine how excited we were when they launched the SSL 2 and the SSL 2+ interfaces. They are definitely worth checking out. The PreSonus AudioBox iTwo is another popular choice with its 24-bit resolution; 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz sampling rate. This audio interface is also perfect for your Apple iPad as it bus-powered and class compliant. And last but certainly not least is the EVO 4 by Audient, probably one of the smallest and most powerful audio interfaces you’re likely to encounter. This is another great mobile solution that is USB 2.0 bus-powered and will slip into your pocket or laptop bag. As well as the EVO 4’s stunning mic pre’s, smart gain, loopback functionality and monitor mix functionality, it also comes with all the software and plugins you need to record. -- 0:00 - Intro 1:26 - Focusrite 2i2 4:13 - SSL 2 6:20 - PreSonus AudioBox iTwo 7:44 - EVO 4 9:52 - Outro -- Check out Studiospares News for New Products, Advice & Tips, Reviews, Masterclasses & more! https://www.studiospares.com/news Subscribe To Our Newsletter! https://goo.gl/Uvo2cU Let's Connect!
