I made this song for my government class' final project aabout social movements! The teacher said we could do anything except a powerpoint, and so for some reason I decided to make a whole freaking song. It's a little basic, but I managed to pump this out in literally one week. Also, sorry for the mid sound quality for the lyrics, I recorded them in my closet using a school laptop... Lyrics: [CHORUS] Way back in November of 2-0-2-2 ChatGPT was just released With people claiming it was the way forward Not eve-ry-one was quite so appeased Since then, its abilities only increased Many worried about their job Give AI money and a couple decades See your perfect livelihood get robbed People argue it steals creative content No giving credit to the source Rehash and remix into nothing new and Biases that it will reenforce Organized efforts are starting to pop up Even if they are still real small Make It Fair started by Owen Meredith Limit AI by copyright law It is a group first founded in the UK Against Britian’s pro-AI bill They’re wanting companies to pay creators So they are rewarded with their fill They call people to some nonviolent methods To save their right to property There is a big blue button on their website Telling you to email your MP The movement is considered reformative Only dealing with the AI One day it could be revolutionary Cause its use is always on the rise The resistance falls under conservative Trying to keep humans on top They have group-focus on a world-wide issue Bringing tech companies to a stop [BRIDGE] This movement is preliminary Just you wait and see where it goes No one ever really knows [CHORUS] The movement has no wins or losses quite yet Since it has only just begun But some big names rally behind their causes Take Hayao Miyazaki for one If they keep targeting the smaller issues Instead of going for the whole I think they’re able to get real good traction Skyrocket and start hitting their goal At this moment it seems that AI will stay But they can implement new laws Make companies off set their air pollution Or ban AI from hearing our calls So while this movement is in its infancy There will be more unrest for sure As AI goes on to be ever present There’ll be more debates in the future
