This was the gruesome murder of 17-year-old Gary Lauwers who was found in a shallow grave in the Aztakea Woods, just outside of the sleepy harbour village of Northport. Gary’s body, which had been covered with sticks and leaves, had been violently stabbed and mutilated beyond recognition - a murder of likes the community had never seen before. Police only discovered the corpse after a local teen sent an anonymous tip to the police. So who was responsible for this vile crime?
