The Blue holes are sinkholes composed of carbonate bedrock that slowly developed over the years. They don't have a natural external drainage system. At the opening of a blue hole, sea life can be spotted, but as one dives further, life disappears, and toxic hydrogen sulfide is found beneath the hole. It is strongly advised that no diver entered this passage. The cavern is not fully mapped out, which makes exploring it enticing for the most highly skilled and adventurous divers.
