It is a very healthy dish with a small amount of spices and lots of nutritional values. We Bengalis like to eat "Macher Tok" or Fish curry with green Mango when it's scorching hot outside and also when green mangoes are in season. You can any type of big fish fillets such as Catla/Rohu/Carp/Salmon for this "Macher Tok" recipe. You can also use small Fish like smelt fish or any other small fish for this recipe. Ok, without further ado, let's cook our favorite "Macher Tok" or Fish curry with green mango in the authentic Bengali way. You'll need... One large green mango Catla/Rohu/Carp fish pieces 10-15 For marinate 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon turmeric Dry chilis 3-4 Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon turmeric 4-5 chilis finely chopped 1/4 cup oil Boiling water যা যা লাগবে.. কাঁচা আম বড় একটি কাতলা/রুই/কার্প মাছের টুকরো ১০-১২ টি মাছে মাখানোর জন্য নুন ১ চা চামচ হলুদ ১ চা চামচ শুকনো লঙ্কা ৩-৪ টি সর্ষে দানা ১/২ চা চামচ নুন ১ চা চামচ হলুদ ১/২ চা চামচ কাঁচা লঙ্কা কুচি ৪-৫ তেল ১/৪ কাপ গরম জল পরিমাণমতো First, cut the mango in lengthwise pieces and set aside. Next, marinate the fish pieces with salt and turmeric and also set it aside. Now, in a bowl, take salt, turmeric, finely chopped green chilis and mix it with warm water and make a paste. In a frying pan, add marinated Catla fish pieces and fry them until golden brown. Remove them on a plate. In the same oil, add dry chilis, fry for a little bit, and add mustard seeds. When you hear mustard seeds splatter, add the mixed spices, and cook it for a little while. Following, add boiling water, then add Fish, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the lid, stir, and add the mango pieces and cook for 10 more minutes. After 10 minutes, Stir one last time, cover, and turn off the heat.
