Day 61 – Racing the Ferry at Wemyss Bay!

Day 61 of my 100-day running challenge began at the beautiful Wemyss Bay train station — one of the most charming railway stations in Scotland. I set off from there with no set plan, just curiosity and fresh sea air. As I made my way up towards the Wemyss Bay caravan park, I spotted the Rothesay ferry out on the water, heading back into the bay. Just for fun, I set myself a challenge: could I make it to the top of the hill before the ferry reached the dock? Spoiler: I couldn’t. 🤣 Somewhere in the middle of the caravan park, I got a little lost — but that detour led me to a beautiful, unexpected waterfall tucked away in the greenery. I finished by watching the Isle of Bute ferry arrive again, full circle, and had one final dash around the station itself.
