In this video we discuss how to wrap or stack text in a cell in an excel spreadsheet. We go through a few different examples including wrapping text in multiple cells at one time Transcript/notes Let’s say that you want to make text in a cell look a bit cleaner, such as in cell B1, in this example. One option is to stack, or wrap the text. To do this, make sure you are on the home tab at the top of the spreadsheet, then left click on the cell, in this case cell B1, so it is highlighted. Then go up to the alignment section near the top of the spreadsheet, and you will see this abc wrap text icon. Left click on it. And now the text has been wrapped in the cell, and all of the text is visible. From here, you can align the text left, center or right using these alignment icons in the same section as the wrap text icon. I am going to center align it. You can also do this for an entire column if you have cells with a lot of text in them, like in this example. To do this, left click on the column letter, so the entire column is highlighted. Then as before, go up to the alignment section and left click on the wrap text icon. And you can change the column width by clicking and holding and dragging on the dividing bar to the right of the column letter, to width that you choose, as you see here. One last example. You can also use this tool for multiple cells at one time. Here I want to wrap the text in cells B1, C1 and D1. So, I left click and hold on cell B1, then drag over cell D1, so all 3 cells are highlighted, then release the click and hold. Once again, go up to the alignment section and left click on the wrap text icon. And the text in all 3 cells has been wrapped, and again, you can modify the cells as you choose.
