This fly screams high water western trout stream. When spring rolls around and the stoneflies are on the prowl this is your bug. This twenty incher is a classic and has been around for a while. It's really a tangent of the classic prince nymph, and I really love this fly. It has all the components for stone fly hatches in the west. We get a great Skwala hatch here in Northern Idaho and this fly kills it during that time. One thing that I'm sure most people can attest to during big water events, is that your fly needs to sink very quickly.
