The 75 Years logo remake assemblage started in late July and finished on 13th September 2025. The shield was all redone by tracing over the one from the real logo and reconstructed the textures in Inkscape for the shield, the text and the sky. This is the first time I used lattice for the shield’s banner and the text to get a more accurate reconstruction from the real logo. For the studio reflection ripple, this was done separately as I have more control in scaling it in the flat and scope versions. I used Antoni’s reconstruction of the WB studios photograph, and the modified banner font, and I give credit to him. I altered the textures for the “Family Entertainment” version to make the background darker and make the shield and text in a bronze like colour. For the Bugs Bunny animation integrated into the logo remake, I animated the masking of the layer for the shield. The “Lethal Weapon 4” variation was the hardest subproject to do. I spent a week to perfect the animation of the fireball and the explosion with icospheres and particle systems. I kept the fire simulation at a low-res so that I get the desired result by animating the strength from wind and force fields. As I wanted it to be as accurate as possible, I originally had the fire simulation at 100 divisions and with six divisions of high resolution. Because of the volume of the fire simulation, even when baked, it takes 15 minutes on average to render each frame. So, I tried to use a render farm to render out the fireball animation to speed up the rendering process. However, I spent a week to trying to get it to work on the render farm as it took too long for the job to bake the cache files, even when I zipped the files with the blend file. I decided to give up and render it locally at standard HD quality instead of 4K. Furthermore, the result was not what I expected. So, I redone the fireball animation with planes, an icosphere and a cube. I implemented shape keys on the planes and the cube, along with adding in the displacement modifier to animate the wavy effect. After animating the mesh and the settings in the fire simulation, I chose to bake the fire simulation at 300 divisions and 1 high resolution division. And I was pleased with the final result, even if it doesn’t fully replicate the clouds of fire and smoke. I upscaled the rendered fireball whilst applying colour correction in Movie Studio Platinum. For the “Jack Frost” variation, I altered the textures and painted in snow and ice coverings. I recreated the snow caps around the shield and the text along with animating shape keys. Particle system was used for the snowfall effect from the shield as it rotates. However, I encountered the obstacle for the particle system when some of them kept messing up when the shield goes into its position, so it took me some time to resolve this. The ”You’ve Got Mail” variation took only two days to recreate as it was the easiest subproject to do. Copyright goes to Warner Bros.
