Ingredients: •2 tins of pink or red salmon( approximately 200g each), well drained--this will give you about 300g net content •200g firm tofu ( mine is smoked, but you can use regular as wel;‼️ in the past I have also used for this recipe, soft silken tofu but I kept it, for 24 hours, in a cheese cloth in a bowl full of semolina to make sure it wasn't too wet when used. •1 large egg •2 spring onions finely chopped •2 garlic cloves •2-3 tsp grated ginger •2 Tbsp plain flour •2 tsp mirin •1.5 Tbsp soy sauce •Black and/or white pepper to your preferences •Taste before adding any salt, as the soy sauce will contribute to the level of saltiness •500ml-600ml vegetable oil for frying - heat the oil up on a low flame and keep it on low ❗️Fry the balls until golden brown in colour and keep an eye on them all the time ,as they brown really quickly Dipping sauce: •100g mayonnaise •1 tsp mirin •1 tsp soy sauce •1 tsp Japanese rice vinegar •0.5 tsp horseradish paste or wasabi paste They are very good!
