This fire massage, known as Yam Khang is an ancient Thai Massage Practice, that involves the use of real fire to massage the patient. This type of fire massage can only be performed by a trained professional. This fire massage is performed outside. The masseuse would light up his coal pot, and one is gets hot enough, he dips his feet in some sesame oil and white whisky. Then he would quickly swipe his foot across the iron plank that sits on top of the coal pot and transfer the heat from the fire, straight onto the patient and massage a particular are with his foot. This is done repeatedly done until the whole body is completely massaged. This massage is quite hot, and you end up being quite oily afterwards.
