However, since this is the 25th anniversary of Steve Vai’s “Passion & Warfare” album I decided to shoot the entire album and post it as a bit of a tribute. Without a doubt, P&W was a hugely influential album when I was younger (and still continues today). It’s a masterpiece all around and the amazing drumming of Chris Frazier (Tris Imboden played on “For the Love of God” and “I Would Love To”) makes this an essential album for any music lover. I tried to play as close to the recorded drum parts as possible with a few interpretations of fills and voicings, but overall I wanted to stay relatively true to the original-hence it being a tribute.
