Introducing Lisa LeVay, Access College Americaʻs newest College Consultant Associate

Lisa LeVay has more than 12 years of experience as a professional educator working with students and families through national college access programs, school districts, and nonprofit organizations. She specializes in guiding high school students through the college admissions process, helping them navigate academic planning, activities, and application strategy. Lisa is known for breaking down the complex admissions process into clear, manageable steps that build confidence for both students and parents. She brings particular strength in advising students pursuing STEM pathways such as engineering, computer science, and other quantitative fields. Lisa helps students strategically position themselves for selective universities including Purdue University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and The University of Texas at Austin by focusing on strong academics, meaningful activities, and thoughtful application narratives. Lisa began her career with the National College Advising Corps through AmeriCorps, where she served as the sole college adviser at a high school in San Antonio, helping students increase college enrollment and navigate admissions and financial aid. She later served as a Program Manager at Genesys Works, connecting STEM focused students with corporate internships and strengthening college and career readiness programs. Across her career, she has helped hundreds of students successfully transition from high school to college and continues to support students in finding the right academic and personal fit.
