"EXTREME DANGER: Prototype Weaponry" is in fact a violent amalgam of death and thrash black metal, with sporadic experimental cues particularly evident in the initial "What Of Sacred Mars?", in the atmospheric title track and in the final "The Descent Of The Host." In between, a handful of chaotic and extremely violent pieces where Montesi's oblique and sinister riffs clash with the thundering rhythm section of Haché and Turenne in a breathtaking contest for total domination. Mastered by Gabriele Gramaglia (Cosmic Putrefaction, Vertebra Atlantis), the full-length debut of RUINOUS POWER takes no prisoners and confirms the excellent state of health of metal, here balanced between tradition and modernity, and rarely so frenetic and devastating.
