He came in one year ago on this EXACT date. And in previous years he has consistently been visiting in September/ October/ November. I asked him if he underwent any trauma this time of year in his childhood. He told me that when he was a child he was sent to the shelter this time of year. He didn’t have anyone He reiterated he doesn’t consider it traumatic. It was just a big change Then I remembered having this exact conversation last year… so I made a note in his file… and then I’ll be reminded what we’re actually treating in October 2023 Our next patient was this fascinating older German woman and I got to practice my 10 German words "Lie on your stomach, breathe, relax, lie on your back, breathe, gentle, soft, very good, sit up, thank you and you’re welcome" Then I saw an old student from Penn State. He loved me as a professor, but loves me even more as his chiro There were 2 sisters from India, we discussed meanings of names, the Vedas, and artificial intelligence Then there was the acupuncturist and her husband who drive up from Maryland every few months.
