Check the improved version of this video, with a voiceover: • Népliget Park 1936 Hungarian Grand Pr... The 1936 Hungarian Grand Prix track in Népliget (Peoples Park) Budapest as it looks today. The 1936 Hungarian Grand Prix was the only pre-war Grand Prix in Hungary. It was won by Tazio Nuvolari. With his Alfa Romeo he beat the powerfull Mercedes and Auto Union cars on the twisty street circuit. In the 80's there were plans to revive the Népliget circuit for the modern Formula One Grand Prix. But they decided to built a brand new circuit, the Hungaroring. I made these photos of the Népliget circuit in the summer of 2010.
