Summer in Latvia 🇱🇻 Day 1 of family vacation back home 🏡

Hiiii friends!!!!! This is what the first 24h look like after I arrive back to my homeland - Latvia. So much to do in Latvia, but first things first is always getting a phone sim card so your scrolling addiction gets not a second to breathe. After unpacking all my carefully folded blazers and heels, I grab the same tshirt and 10 year old denim shorts and Iam off to my favourite place on earth - the little village where I grew up and lived until my family moved to Canada. My dad's parents built it with their own hands, and there is something so sacred and connecting about it. Makes me wonder - what have I built in this life that my grandkids will be able to enjoy? Nothing. Nothing is the answer. Immediately doing a berry check, and taste testing all the red, black, white currants and gooseberries. Throwing in some unripe apples (which is a dangerous game, as there is only 1 toilet for 8 people). Nonetheless I feel alive. Iam instantly warped by the mayhem of being surrounding by my whole family, and wonder how I survive as an only child on the other side of the world. Sigh. But until the deprecating thoughts creep in, I am swept away to the beach. Ahh, the cold, Baltic waters. Just as quickly I am yanked back, as a tick is discovered on my nephews arm. Vibes are immediately off. A quick Get Unready with me routine. Don't worry, I only have to wash myself this way about 4 times out of the week, as soon we go get some wood to heat up the boiler with hot water and shower head, I shall have a warm shower. Anyways, please enjoy, as I enjoy these days more than anything else in life. Love yaaaaaaa soooo maaachhhhhhh
