The Budget Drone market is saturated with dozens of knock-off, rebrands and useless pitiful examples of flying video quadcopters. 99% of which are nothing more than someones idea of a graft. The 3-Axis gimbal camera drone market is growing slowly, yet only a handful of companies can even enter the ring of plausibility and reliance. Even then, these contenders for your cash can not offer perfection. Each has annoyances that some feel coincide with the "straw that broke the camel’s back" analogy. DJI Mini3 w/DJI RC combo - Great piece of kit – Lots of good ideas but a few annoyances. • Updates do take some time • DJI RC screen is no bigger than the average phone • DJI RC is a One Trick Pony • DJI RC can cause timestamp issues as the internal clock is not reliable • Quickshots are only in 1080p and only film during outbound operation DJI Mavic Mini – still oneof the best – and yet.. • Very Limited range • Limited flight time • Affected by wind easily (but it is felt that the calibration for this warning is set to low to begin with) Hubsan Zino Mini SE – One of Hubsan’s most successful products • Latest firmware & App updates have cause havoc on the whole Hubsan line-up • Acquisition of satellites is exceedingly slow to the point of being painful • The battery latch configuration can cause battery to pull apart Hubsan Mini – Best of intentions – limitless possibilities – swing & a miss • Horizon Tilt will not stay level (no matter what tricks you try) • Recommended PIDs do not successfully prevent camera Jello • App and firmware updates have caused havoc on this drone’s camera • The X-Hibsan2 App needs work • Is over 250g Fimi X8 Mini – Great Idea.. but.. • The App needs work, it is not user friendly • Last update on camera caused major issues • Proprietary cables are not all made the same • No EV lock • No WB lock • Restricted camera adjustments • Auto mode issue - not returning when changing from Manual mode • Wide Pano issue (darkened images) • Dark photo issue (changing from video to photo mode) • without the Pro battery it is over 250g • In no way does it have a 9km range • In no way does it have a 37 min. flight time Fimi X8SE 2022 with the TX10 Controller • It can have minor startup connection issues to the App but resolved with a reboot • It is not a Travel Drone. It is massive. • It is heavy • The App needs an overhaul Each has a Pro and an opposing Con. Some just need to be tweaked and others a total programming overhaul. But compared to the current competition, these brands are leaders of the pack (not to exclude Autel). C-Fly, Walkera, Potensic, etc are still years behind and using old out of stock equipment. DJI has one Achilles Heel... "NFZ" ! But if you could only put parts of each into one.. what an amazing product you would have. Thanks for watching.
