"In the Night" is a song by Canadian singer The Weeknd from his second studio album Beauty Behind the Madness (2015). The song was written by Abel Tesfaye, Ahmad Balshe, Ali Payami, Savan Kotecha, Max Martin and Peter Svensson. It was produced by Max Martin and Ali Payami with The Weeknd serving as co-producer. The song was released to contemporary hit radio as the album's third single (fourth overall) on November 17, 2015. Abel Makkonen Tesfaye (born 16 February 1990), known by his stage name, The Weeknd (pronounced "the weekend"), is an Ethiopian-Canadian singer, songwriter and record producer. Tesfaye anonymously uploaded several songs to YouTube under the name "The Weeknd" in 2010 and released the critically acclaimed mixtapes House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence in 2011.The mixtapes were later remastered and rereleased on the compilation album Trilogy (2012), after he signed with Republic Records and created his own record label XO. iHeartRadio launched national-branded marque events starting with the inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival in 2011.
