The Costuming in "King and Conqueror" Looks Terrible. Like, Really Terrible.

The BBC and CBS are producing a new "historical" tv series called "King and Conqueror". It's based on William the Conqueror's successful invasion and conquest of England in 1066. The costuming, quite frankly, is bland, tired, boring, unimaginative, inauthentic, monochrome, cheap looking, and is clearly drawn from the same warehouse as the costumes for The Last Kingdom, Vikings, and [insert any other leather-and-lamellar-applied-anachronistically show you can think of here]. Ych a fi. Can we stop trying to make the past look like Game of Thrones without the budget? This talented cast deserves so much better than this. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and James Norton look so uncomfortable in their kit it's unreal. Strap in, friends. This one's a bad one. Bring me some naturally dyed wool and a cup of tea! New podcast!
