5 Types of Accidents YOU Need to Know!

Here are the 5 most common types of car accidents, to hopefully help you avoid getting into one yourself: 1. Rear-end collision Read-end collisions are one of the most common types of car accidents, and they usually occur due to not paying attention to surroundings. The seriousness of these accidents depends on the impact the rear-ending car has hit the other, and how individuals were sitting during the accident. 2. Single vehicle accident These car accidents often happen due to weather, for example hydroplaning, or not paying full attention. It is not often that personal injury claims result from single vehicle accidents, because there isn't an at fault driver to file a claim against. Sometimes though, we help passengers who have been involved in single vehicle car accidents when the driver has caused them an injury. 3. T-Bone Accident This car accident most commonly occurs in intersections, for example when two cars on opposing traffic sides think they have a green light, and proceed through, colliding with each other. These accidents can be extremely serious and cause injuries. You can avoid these types of collisions by being especially diligent and pay attention when you come up to a busy intersection. 4. Merging Accidents These car accidents occur when two cars are beside each other and one is attempting to merge. In these situations there are cars going different speeds, there could be potential busy traffic, and often there either isn't enough room for the merging car and they run into the vehicle in the other lane. These accidents are often low impact and not high in seriousness, and they can be avoided. Always put your signal on when merging, and pay attention to the drivers around you! 5. Parking Lot Accidents Often people are either not paying attention, thinking about their evening, or are unsure of where to go, and can hit other cars or even pedestrians in parking lots. These again, are usually not serious and low-impact, but we have has clients in the past who have been hit as a pedestrian in a parking lot and experienced an injury.
