I absolutely adore the look of the Lego retro radio (set 10334) and it was an absolute joy to build .. but i wanted it to actually play radio. So i got a Raspberry Pi, installed Volumio on it, and configured it to resume playing the last radio station on startup. I found the smallest speaker i could find so it could fit inside the radio set. The result is wonderful. i can use the Volumio app on my phone to connect to the Raspberry Pi over my local network and control what is playing. I am really happy with this, i'm going to use it all the time! The only thing that could make this better is to actually hook up the Lego buttons to actually be able to control the Raspberry Pi. In the video i included a lot of details about how the buttons actually work, so if you have any ideas how i might be able to wire up some electronics, please let me know in the comments!
