I am very glad to have Gary do an amazing talk on The Welsh March. Gary is an Author, alchemist, astrologer, grimoire student, obsessive gardener and a cat lover. He has written many books including Welsh Border Witchcraft: A Rendition of the Occult History of the Welsh March. Here is the link to the book https://amzn.eu/d/hpb0WRP He is also the main organiser of the Welsh Occult Conference. Here is the link to buy tickets for this year's event. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-we... The Welsh March and it's hinterland is a little known area of the UK which has one extraordinary occult history. There are several magical artefacts which have survived from times past, such as curse poppets, charms, based upon material from Agrippa and his Three Books of Occult Philosophy and also Reginald Scott's Elizabethan work Discoverie of Witchcraft. Also surviving is a working grimoire of a local blacksmith, from Cwmbelan, mid Wales, which is now in the archives of the National Library of Wales at Aberystwyth and which we will be considering in this talk. We will discuss the conjurors, of which there were several in the locality, their methods, and the talismans and charms which have survived. This talk clearly shows that the welsh border in it's time had been a hotbed of practical occultism.
