How the Sagan Life® AquaDrum™ – 55 Gallon Drum Water Purification System Works This unique 55 gallon drum water filter system offers three (3) easy ways to pump pure water out of your water storage barrel: Power Pump Method. Connect the new rechargeable Power Pump to the Journey™ filter with Quik Connect components and purified water flows at the push of a button. Hand Pump Method 1. Using the Quik Connect components attach the tubing to the Journey™ filter and to the new Hand Pump. Easily pump purified water from your water storage barrel. We recommend filling an AquaBrick™ Container. It’s portable and easy to transport to your kitchen or wherever you need a supply of fresh water. Hand Pump Method 2 - Siphons Water. Using the same components as in Method 1, give the hand pump a couple of priming pumps and set it into a container to catch the clean water, as it will easily siphon water from your drum or barrel. The AquaDrum™ Water barrel filtration system includes one Journey™ Filter which purifies 250 gallons of water – that’s four and a half 55-gallon drums.
