This Video is about the compact and convertible, Rockler router table that can be used to three different ways, and easily stored or just picked up and moved The router table comes with plates that will hold either a compact, trim router, a midsize, 1.75 or 2 1/4 horse router, as well as a plate design to hold a small spindle sander from Triton woodworking. Sometime back, I made a video about the Triton spindle sander and how I was able to use it as a simple drum sander to shape a piece safely for replacing the trim piece on a dresser. I had since been using the router table with my variable speed Bosch colt router, but I never got it centered and I don’t know if that was me or the whole pattern just didn’t line up. What I really wanted to do was to put a midsize router into the table so I could use both quarter inch and half inch bits. I have a Metabo router kit and so I installed the Fixed base onto the larger of the two plates available for this table. This video is about test driving the midsize router to do some roundover work. The table itself is a pretty good idea because you can either use it as a table that has these feet or you can clamp it down and have a rock solid base. Or it can be attached to a wall and used where it doesn’t take up floor space, and it can be collapsed and stored easily.
