One of my brother’s rental properties was in serious need of an update. The roof had a leak, the appliances were outdated, and most of the decor had seen better days. What started as a few fixes turned into a full renovation that took about a year to complete. The kitchen was gutted, with new cabinets and appliances installed, the floors and backsplash were retiled, and some minor electrical work was done. The roof leak took some time to track down, but it was eventually repaired. Every room was repainted, the bathroom was refreshed, the porch was repainted, the backyard was cleaned up, and the back steps were pressure washed. Since the renovation was finished, my brother has been experimenting with using the space as an Airbnb. It’s come a long way, and the transformation is definitely worth sharing.
