Sensei Bob Zysk and Sensei Brice Penaud demonstrate a defense against Shuto Oroshi Uchi using a jodan nukite as a glancing deflection, striking with tate seiken, and dropping the attacker with Shikoro Dori. That glancing technique was a Tokui Waza of Shihan Paul Arel and is contained in both the Seirenkai Karate kata Marute and Kihon Renraku Waza Nidan.
