Showing how I put together my PVC lap stand to hold my scroll frames. Materials: 4 x 1 metre lengths of 15 millimetre diameter PVC plumbers pipe 10 x 90 degree joints 2 x 45 degree joints 2 x T joins 2 x Caps PVC Glue 60 cm x 60 cm piece of patterned contact Lengths for my stand (EXCLUDING excess to fit into joints which was 1.5 cm per joint): 4 x 1 cm (tiny joins) 2 x 41.5 cm (horizontal lengths across knees and top of frame) 2 x 13.5 cm (lengths to down from the knee horizontal) 4 x 30 cm (beside legs and top of T intersection) 2 x 8 cm (lengths to go up at the end of the lengths beside legs) 2 x 4.5 cm (first bit going up at 45 degrees – bottom of T intersection) Make sure you give it a test drive before gluing to ensure all the heights and lengths are good for you.
