The ending of Operation Postmaster depicted in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is explosive, violent, and drastically different than the true story's ending. Led by Gus March-Phillips, who is portrayed by Henry Cavill, we explain what the Guy Ritchie movie changes about the climax of Operation Postmaster, the British Special Forces WW2 mission carried out by the Small Scale Raiding Force (SSRF) and the Special Operations Executive (SOE) on January 14, 1942 to capture three ships on the West African island of Fernando Po. The ships, which included the Italian merchant vessel Duchessa d'Aosta, the German tug Likomba, and the luxury pleasure yacht Bibundi, were being used in the Axis war effort in part to resupply German submarines. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare fictionalizes the ending, including the role of Marjorie Stewart, portrayed by Eiza González. #theministryofungentlemanlywarfare #operationpostmaster #ww2
