Create a new AWS account: https://portal.aws.amazon.com/billing... What's included with the AWS free tier: https://aws.amazon.com/free Hi guys, In our previous video, we have seen how to create a free VPS hosting and install WordPress on it. As a continuation, In today’s video, we are going to see how to connect the domain to that AWS EC2 instance. Connecting domain charges you around 0.50 dollars per month, about 49 INR. So without further due, let’s get into the video. Go to AWS management console and search for Route 53 Under DNS management, click get started On the next page, click create hosted zone Now, enter your domain name and click create Make sure that the type is set to public hosted zone. Now that we have created a hosted zone So now, we have to add the records to point our domain to the instance Before that, we have to copy the IP address of the instance. To do it, click services and open EC2 instance in a new tab Click the instance you want to point to and copy the instance IP address. Now, get back to the hosted zone and click create record set In the value field, past the IP address and click create. Click create record set again Type WWW in the name field Choose CNAME as the type Enter your domain in the value field and click create Once the process is completed, we will end up with 4 record set. Now, it’s time to update the name servers in the domain registrar. I have the domain registered on Hostinger. So I will update the name servers there. In your case, you have to update the name servers on your registrar. All of them will mostly follow the same method. Click DNS and nameservers or in some registrar, it might be called DNS management Click use my own nameservers Now, get back to the AWS hosted zone and copy nameserver (NS) values Paste (or replace) it on the DNS section on the registrar one by one Make sure to omit the full stop at the end of the value Once all the values have been copied, click save It will take up to 48 hours for the nameservers to propagate but mostly it will be done in 15- 30 minutes. So now, the domain is connected to the EC2 instance. That’s it guys, thanks for watching.
