Priced from just $47,990 drive-away, this new variant pairs a 135kW/480Nm 2.4-litre turbo-diesel donk with a GWM-developed nine-speed auto and full-time 4x4. It’s still packed with gear too, like a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless phone mirroring, locking rear diff, and underbody protection — all standard in the Lux grade. Opting for the Ultra model ($51,990) adds Nappa leather, ventilated seats, a sunroof, and 18-inch alloys. But it’s not just spec — this diesel brings mechanical upgrades over petrol models, including beefier brakes, reinforced diffs, and revised suspension hardware. GWM claims 7.8L/100km fuel use, and after on- and off-road testing, we saw only a touch more, even with a bit of traffic and trail work.
