His air print on the orthophoto of the 1956 American flight is very evident. In fact, at that time kilometers of this Roman road were still preserved. Today, although it has already been completely destroyed, the aerial footprint of this road continues to persist. This Roman road is described in the Antonine Itinerary as from Zaragoza to Bearn, that is, what was the general road from Zaragoza to France that, as today, crossed the Somport pass to reach that French region. For her the famous Charlemagne withdrew when he failed to enter Zaragoza and from there he decided to go to France through Roncesvalles, where he was ambushed, his military columns dismantled and his commander Roland died, on August 15, 778.
