One full sheet of MDF (4ft x 8ft) will be enough wood for all your cuts if cut right with little to no waste. Quantity 2 pieces 24in X 24in 2 pieces 13in X 24in 1 piece 12in x 24in 2 pieces 13in x 1 1/4in 2 pieces 24in x 1 1/4in 4 pieces 1in x 17.5in ~ components ~ If using a different fan and filter combo than listed below, you will have to do the math and confirm that the fan is sufficient to create the necessary flow for the specific filter used. If you need to figured out the math to confirm the filter and fan will pair correctly, please refer to my video for a simple walk through of how you figure it out. Quantity 1 Dayton blower motor ( model 1TDT8 ) https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mp... 1 BioMax hepa filter 12x 24 x 5 7/8 (you can use any brand filter that has the same measurements and a .WG under 1.0) https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mp... 1 Electrical power cord 1 toggle off/on switch (optional) ~ Hardware ~ There are multiple types of screws at the hardware store and you can basically use any drywall or wood screw you would like or that fits your budget. I do suggest getting a more premium screw because the fan creates much force against the walls of the flow hood, but it’s not required. Quantity 100/box 1in screws 4 1in long 1/4 wide bolts w/ matching nuts 4 1/4in washers 1 bottle/tube clear silicone 1 roll electrical tape (3mm is the best) 2 electrical connector/caps ~ Tools needed ~ Screwdriver or drill bit attachment that matches your screws 1/4 drill bit Tape measure or ruler that can measure a minimum of 24 inches Saw ( either circle saw or jig ) Right angle Corner clamp (optional but will make easier if it’s a solo project ) Wood clamp (optional) ~ Information on a pre-filter ~ Many people opt to have a pre-filter on their flow hood. A pre-filter is a filter that covers your blower fan and it helps keep dust and debris from entering the fan. It is easily and cheaply constructed by using a cheap air purifier filter and box around the blower fan. This can prolong the life of your expensive filter and blower fan. It is optional and it does not make your flow hood more efficient. If you would like to build one, it will cost under $15-$20. If you do choose to use a pre-filter, it also changes the .WG which might also make you need a more powerful blower fan.
