요세미티는 언제 가보아도 좋습니다. 봄 여름에는 넘치는 폭포수가 장관을 이루고 가을에는 고운 단풍을 볼 수 있습니다. 요세미티 인근은 대부분 침엽수림이어서 가을 단풍을 보기 힘들지만 요세미티 밸리는 예외적으로 가을 풍경으로 물듭니다. 물론 미국동부처럼 울긋 불긋한 단풍이 아니고 또한 황금빛 아스펜도 없습니다. 하지만 많은 블랙 오크, 코튼우드, 독우드 나무들과 들풀들이 요세미티 밸리를 가을색으로 물들입니다. 밸리 플로어는 주변으로 엘캐피탄 해프돔같은 거대한 화강암 바위산들이 둘러있어 가을빛 초원과 블렌딩되어 웅장하면서도 장엄한 분위기를 연출합니다. Yosemite is a great place to visit any time of year, with spectacular waterfalls in spring and summer and brilliant fall foliage in the fall. Most of the area around Yosemite is coniferous, so it's hard to see fall foliage, but Yosemite Valley is an exception. Sure, it's not the rugged foliage of the eastern United States, and there is no golden aspen, but the many black oak, cottonwood, and dogwood along with the wild plants, give Yosemite Valley its fall color. The Valley floor is surrounded by massive granite rock mountains, such as El Capitan and Half Dome, that blend with the fall-colored meadows to create an atmosphere of grandeur and majesty.
