Casual 1920's/1930's Hairstyle

This 1920’s hairstyle is super simple and a great option for those days when a marcel wave or faux bob is just way too much effort! I think this style is perhaps one of those 1920s/1930s styles that someone with only passing knowledge of history wouldn’t associate with the roaring twenties, but the long, low bun was a fairly popular style for those still clinging to long locks in the late 1920’s and into the 1930s. I originally stumbled across this particular hairstyle over at https://witness2fashion.wordpress.com/ (which is an excellent fashion history blog that has many insightful and truly interesting posts). It actually took me several attempts to accurately recreate the look of this simple style (the first few attempts involved 2 elastics and putting an elastic around the middle of a long bun which causes the ends to stick out all funny... it wasn't a good look..)
