Sanjay Celebrates His 5th Rescue Anniversary at Wildlife SOS!

Sanjay celebrates 5 years of freedom! 5 years ago, Sanjay took his first steps at the #WildlifeSOS Elephant Conservation & Care Centre, towards his freedom. Being abused and neglected for decades, there's a stark difference in his life now. Sanjay is pampered with immense love, care, and compassion by our elephant care staff and veterinary team. With the name meaning "victorious", Sanjay has progressed by leaps and bounds. For his 5th rescueversary, Sanjay's caregivers decided to surprise him by organising a scrumptious feast with all his favourite fruits. Locally sourced fresh papayas, watermelons, bananas, and sugarcane were carefully laid down by the Yamuna river for the pachyderm to devour! With this milestone, we celebrate the majestic tusker's tremendous strength, grit, and recuperation.
