• 2019 Alps Leg 13 Col du Télégraphe to Col ... • Roadtrip in Norway and Sweden 2021 Seson 2 • Northcape 2020 Riding the Alps – Grossglockner to Mount Ventoux MC Tour 2019 In the summer of 2019, three riders set out on a serious motorcycle adventure: from Norway to Spain, with one goal – to cross the Alps on two wheels. This series documents the Alpine leg of that journey, starting at Grossglockner in Austria and continuing through Europe’s most legendary mountain passes. Over the course of one intense week, we ride Passo Giau, Passo Falzarego, Passo Gardena, Stelvio Pass, Passo Bernina, Splügen Pass, Col du petit Bernand, Col de l’Iseran, Col du Télégraphe, Col du Galibier, Col de la Bonette and finish at Mount Ventoux in southern France. In addition to these summits we ride in Vercors amazing national park region. While the families flew to Malaga, we took the hard way – riding over 2,000 kilometers of mountain roads, hairpin bends, and remote landscapes. This is raw motorcycle touring. No trailers. No shortcuts. Just the road, the ride, and the kind of freedom only found on two wheels. If you're planning a motorcycle trip through the Alps or just want to see real riding in some of the best scenery Europe has to offer, you're in the right place. This leg: Motorcycle Ride – Col du Galibier to Le Freney-d’Oisans (Alps Tour Leg 14) Leg 14 marks a descent from the high alpine world of Col du Galibier into the deep valleys of the French Alps, ending in the small village of Le Freney-d’Oisans. With shifting weather and narrow roads, this stage brings a new kind of challenge – riding in the rain through some of the most exposed terrain on the tour. The route starts at over 2,600 meters and quickly descends through Col du Lautaret, a wide and windswept saddle that often marks the transition between blue skies and fast-moving storms. In our case, the clouds rolled in, and the road turned wet – making traction, visibility, and precision all the more critical. Despite the rain, the views remain dramatic, with towering cliffs, fast-moving waterfalls, and the unmistakable sense of descending from the roof of the Alps into something greener and more grounded. The road itself is well-maintained, but tight corners and slick surfaces require full attention. This leg is a reminder that motorcycle touring is not just about sunshine and perfect grip – it’s about adapting, pushing on, and finding beauty even in the storm.
