This is one of Games Workshop's best short stories, one of the best Alpha Legion stories, but ultimately it focusses on Nykona Sharrowkyn of the Raven Guard, the space marine who shot Fulgrim, Primarch of the Emperor's Children. If you like spy thrillers and assassination plots then you'll love this short story. But there's a lot more going on here than what appears on the surface, so I thought it should be talked about. Nykonna Sharrowkyn and Shadrak Meduson were absolutely critical to the success of the Loyalists during the Horus Heresy. And this story illustrates exactly why.
