Everything you see in the night sky is a lie. Every star, every galaxy, every distant nebula that astronomers point their telescopes at might be nothing more than an elaborate holographic projection. The holographic principle in physics suggests that all the information in our three-dimensional universe could be encoded on a two-dimensional boundary we can never reach. What you experience as depth, volume, and cosmic reality might be a projection from this boundary.
