Sarah Fisher's days as an IndyCar driver and owner may be over but racing remains her business, pleasure and life. The nine-time Indy 500 starter and first female to win a pole position is christening a spectacular, 60,000 square-foot go-kart track on Friday less than a mile from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Speedway Indoor Karting features a quarter-mile road course with a major elevation change and a quick little oval to go with a restaurant and bar and it's located on Main Street in Speedway. "I'm so proud of how it's turned out and we've had so many people helping us it really feels like a community project," said Fisher, who along with husband Andy O'Gara and partner Wink Hartman fielded an IndyCar team for eight years and gave Josef Newgarden his start. "It's a lot of work and we're still thrashing to get ready for Friday but I think people are going to be thrilled with the character of these two tracks. "And being so close to the Speedway it was only fitting to have an oval." Fisher will drive the pace car at most IndyCar races in 2016 and help out Ed Carpenter with sponsors in May but karting and her two children will keep her plenty busy. "I've never worked this hard but it's all good," she said. Subscribe to The Racer Channel here: http://www.youtube.com/theracerchanne...
