During the summer of 2018, Paul Chapman of the Model Railway YouTube Community Group (MRYCG) and Galgorm Hall model railway set in motion a fantastic tour of many of the UK's online model railway YouTube channels, based on Dave Jones' wonderful map. He resprayed two coaches in a special livery - one in OO Gauge and one in N Gauge - and sent them on their merry way around the British Isles (and, so I'm told, also one or two further flung parts of the world). I was delighted to be part of this epic tour and one of the very first stops, no less - which added a bit of pressure, as I have no idea what to do with it given I didn't have a layout set up. No visit to Strathpeffer Junction would be complete without a wee bit of tinkering, so that's exactly what I did...and the coach left with a flashing tail lamp! Before arriving in the Highlands, the coach started at Richard Watson's fantastic New Junction. You can watch his video here: • Network Youtube's Epic Coach Tour! After a week in sunny Strathpeffer, the coach headed off down the Highland Mainline towards Kirkton Road Junction. You can catch Mark's video here: • MRYCG Coach Tour Summer 2018 Wishing it all the very best of luck for the journey ahead...
