[English version below] Aquí tenéis la primera edición del libro de arte “CHIMERA”, publicado en Japón en julio de 2024 por la prestigiosa editorial PIE International. Siendo el primer libro dedicado a los trabajos de la maravillosa artista conceptual Entei Ryu. El libro permite recorrer los trabajos más relevantes realizados durante una década por esta artista japonesa, que decidió dar un giro a su carrera de arquitecta para dedicarse enteramente al diseño conceptual, tanto a través de la ilustración, como del modelado 3D. De hecho, la obra de Entei Ryu combina realismo clásico con influencias estéticas orientales y explora temas como la vida, la energía y la naturaleza; además colabora en proyectos para cine, videojuegos y la creación de esculturas. Actualmente figura como lead concept artist en el estudio Kojima Productions y ha ganado visibilidad internacional gracias a exposiciones y artículos sobre su trabajo. Este libro concretamente se empezó a vender durante la exposición dedicada a la artista “Mercury”, que el año pasado se celebró en la W Gallery de Tokio. No fueron pocos los grandes artistas que la visitaron y ensalzaron su obra (entre ellos Katsuya Terada). It is the first book dedicated to the work of the wonderful concept artist Entei Ryu. The book offers a journey through the most relevant pieces created over a decade by this Japanese artist, who decided to shift from a career in architecture to fully devote herself to concept design, both through illustration and 3D modeling. In fact, Entei Ryu’s work blends classical realism with Eastern aesthetic influences and explores themes such as life, energy, and nature. She also collaborates on film and video game projects, as well as sculpture. She is currently a lead concept artist at Kojima Productions and has gained international visibility thanks to various exhibitions and articles featuring her work. This book was first sold during the artist’s dedicated exhibition “Mercury”, held last year at W Gallery in Tokyo. Many renowned artists visited the show and praised her work — among them Katsuya Terada. The “Angel’s Egg” sculpture included in the book is currently on display in another exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of the legendary anime created by Mamoru Oshii and Yoshitaka Amano.
