I sold this Fostex R8 multitracker on ebay. I'm leaving this video of how to test the functions for people who want to purchase one. I forgot to mention that you need to put it into play (wheels turning) and let it run to the end of the tape to make sure that the motors are good. You might want to do the same with fast forward and rewind. If it slows down drastically at any point, don't buy it to use. Recording and playback is obvious, however there is no headphones socket so you will need a small mixer and a phono to jack cable, and headphones, and a sound source, mic or drum machine. I hope this is helpful. Incidentally, I would not want to go back to this way of recording.
