We were told Peleș Castle is a must-see in Romania, but my gosh - we were not expecting it to be as stunning as it is! In this vlog, we visit all 3 floors of the castle (which was really used as a palace) to give you a taste of what each floor is like. Since the ticket price is 50 LEI per floor you see, this will help you if or when you plan a visit. Here's some background on Peleș Castle: Located in the Carpathian Mountains, it was built between 1881 to 1914 for King Carol I - under whose rule Romania gained independence from the Ottoman Empire. King Carol I was pretty picky about the design - he rejected many proposals he deemed unoriginal before accepting one that creatively blended classic styles from across Europe. His pickiness paid off - it is truly a feast for the eyes. On top of the unique architecture, it has over 170 rooms, many of which are themed to represent different cultures across the world. If you plan to visit, there are 3 floors which cost 11USD each to see. You have to see the ground floor by default - it is the most impressive but also the most crowded. 00:00 - Intro 00:34 - Arriving at the castle 01:04 - Stroll through the gardens 02:01 - Entering the ground floor of the castle 02:38 - Hall of Arms (so many swords!) 03:31 - All the "Wows!" of the rooms on the ground floor 04:22 - The second floor (what a dud!) 05:43 - The first floor (much better than the second!) 06:32 - Final thoughts and recommendations 07:25 - A Bollywood fan in Romania #TravelCouple #OnTheRoad #Travel #romania #Pelescastle #Brashov #castle #RoadTrip #TravelVlog #tourist #tour #travelromania #bucharest #carpathian
