Today we're at the Yamato Antique (Curio) Market*, held right next to Yamato station in Kanagawa Prefecture. It’s held on the third Saturday of each month from 7am-3pm. Yamato is only about 45mins on the Odakyu Enoshima Line from Shinjuku so easy to get to from central Tokyo. There around 300 antique and vintage stalls, however, less may operate during rainy days or in the heat of July-August. Estimated prices are noted in USD($) (exchange rate in 2024) to help convert into your own currency. Thank you so much for watching and hope you enjoy the content🥰 *Apologies I say "Kominka" at the start of the video, but it's "Komingu - only noticed the slip of the tongue when editing subtitles😂 Also an update: as of August 2024, the organizers have rebranded the market name in English from "Yamato Curio Market" to "Kanagawa Yamato Antique Market". Items listed in the Tokyotique Shop (as of January 2025) Small Old Imari Dish: https://www.thetokyotique.com/shop/p/... Mini Kokeshi in Bright Colours (3 pair set): https://www.thetokyotique.com/shop/p/... ************************************************************************************************************************ 📍Kanagawa Yamato Antique Market (Kanagawa Yamato Komingu Kottoichi) 神奈川やまと古民具骨董市 Nearest station: Yamato (Odakyu Enoshima Line and Soetsu Main Line) Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/EUxqdrntmzu6K... ************************************************************************************************************************ 🛒THE TOKYOTIQUE SHOP (as of Jan 2025): https://www.thetokyotique.com ************************************************************************************************************************ MARKET LISTS: TOKYO: List of Antique Markets (by Japan National Tourism Organization as at January 2024) https://asset.japan.travel/image/uplo... I’m Michelle, a half Japanese, half British Tokyoite🇯🇵🇬🇧who thrifts for both resale and for keeps . The focus is mainly on homeware, ceramics, ornaments and traditional folk craft. We will be visiting thrift/vintage/antique shops and markets within Tokyo, and beyond. "Tokyotique", a combination of "Tokyo" and "Boutique", was the name I chose for my Mercari Japan account when first launching a shop on the platform. I now also sell internationally from my online store at www.thetokyotique.com ✨ Hope you enjoy coming along with me to shops and markets in Tokyo, and beyond! ************************************************************************************************************* IG Tokyotique: / thetokyotique Japanescapes: / japanescapes Art Channel Michelle Nagisa Art: / @michellenagisaart #thrifting #thriftinginjapan #Japan #japaneseculture #japantravel #fleamarket #vintage #フリマ #thrifthaul #thriftingvideo #ヴィンテージ #骨董市 #骨董品 #フリーマーケット Video No.4
