What can I say about the king and queen of narrowboats?! This well loved, loved-up couple had an interesting ceremony at Polesworth Abbey, with the groom arriving by tractor engine and the bride by vintage bus! The most welcoming Father Phillip was just amazing, with his "hip hip horays" and random but well thought out story comparing the couple and their boat to noah and the ark (I think that was the gist of it anyway) Setting off around the village on a convoy of tractor engines and busses, they arrived at the nearby Bulls head pub adjacent to the canal where they and their guests boarded a fleet of around 30+ narrowboats and set sail on a 30 minute cruise to the Samuel Barlow pub at Alvecote marina for the breakfast and evening reception which had reopened especially for this event. (the parking was a bit interesting!)
