An amazing ridge to walk along, whilst enjoying the evening summer sunshine. Views all along the Great Ridge, from Lose Hill, past Back Tor, Hollins Cross right through to Mam Tor. The overnight wildcamp out on the side of Lose Hill was ideal. I concluded the walk by exploring the old tarmac chunks of the old road (that should be the “new” road actually, the old road is still in use over Winnats Pass) which has succumbed to the failings of the ground-slip over the recent decades. The tent is my Vango Soul 200 which I bought a couple of years ago. It is fine for summer seasons and has held up well to the use at this time of year.
