Alex G wrote and recorded all tracks to his debut album “Race” while still in high school. But the album wasn’t made public until the year 2010. The entire album is filled with lyrics that reflect the angst and growing pains of being young in suburban America. Most of the songs are rather dark in nature, but I found the 4th track (a song called “Gnaw”) to be one of the most notable of this category.
